Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career with the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki was then named as deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki worked as the communications director to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned to politics in 2012, serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. There was speculation that she would succeed Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, in the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 in 2014.
